We are in the heart of some of the finest Chateaux vineyards in the world, enjoying the best of Bordeaux, Medoc and St. Emilion to the west, and Cotes de Duras, Bergerac and Monbazillac to the south and east.One hour's drive from Bordeaux International airport, with Paris accessible by air (1 hour) and TGV high-speed rail (3 hours). The area enjoys a temperate climate with low rainfall and high temperatures (average 25C in August), with a long warm season from April to November. The region is abundant with interest, including the pre-historic caves, the numerous fortified Bastides dating from the 100 years war with their colourful weekly markets full of delicious local produce, or experience the many activities such as first-class golf courses, leisure lakes, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, tennis, horse-riding, and much more. |
